Integrated Training in Rural India

The project is focused to build the capacity of rural local youth/leaders through training and workshops. The organization has engaged youths/local leaders in the villages of North (Prayagraj – UP, Chirtkoot – UP, Banda- UP, Bareilly – UP, Rewa – MP and Udham Singh Nagar – UK & North East (Looksaan, Leesh river Jalpaiguri and 6 Mile &Mangpoo – Darjeeling, WB).

At present Stewards Trust is providing training to youths in Jagdalpur and surrounding areas.

Selected trainees/participants get training on different aspects of development e.g. formation of different groups (SHG, Parent Association, Farmers’ groups, Youth group etc.) to have desired results in their community and personal life. They are also trained to identify community needs and scientific way to resolve the issues through community participants. A dedicated trainers’ team has developed effective community development training modules which suits for the rural people.

Through Capacity Building of local youth/leaders, the organization has been able to create positive impact not only on the participants but also at community at large. Physical as well behaviour changes have been reported from the villages where these participants have engaged their community in development process. Apart from above the training also emphasize on making of WASH groups through which the rural community members can assess the right organization (government & non-government agencies) to have safe drinking water facilities, pot holes for themselves.
